After this event we realized that this can happen to anyone. This organization was started to promote safe boating and to educate recreational boaters and professionals alike in the safe operation of all vessels.

What we provide

We provide Professional captains as instructors for personal power/sail boat instructions (hands on) , New York State safe boating courses, learn at the helm professional maritime training, and captains for hire.
Our main goal is Safety through Education

Mid- Island Maritime Services, Inc offers over 25 years of combined experience in the maritime community. Our Staff has a wide array of experience and most still serve as masters on several different vessels.

What Separates us from the rest

In addition to our experienced professional staff, we offer 6 training vessels and use of a marina facility in south Freeport for training. Our training boats range from 14' trailorable to 31' cabin cruisers. All students that sign up for our hands on courses or instructions have full use of these facilities.
